iGemz.co.za – Gift Card & Coupon Terms (CPA-Compliant)

We offer Gift Cards and Coupons to help you save or share the joy of shopping at iGemz. Please read these terms carefully to understand how they work.

1.

GIFT CARDS

1.1

Validity
(a) Purchased Gift Cards are valid for three (3) years from the date of purchase, as required under the CPA.
(b) Free or promotional Gift Cards are valid only for the period expressly stated on them.
(c) Expired Gift Cards cannot be extended, replaced, or refunded.

1.2

Usage Rules
(a) Gift Cards may only be redeemed for purchases made on the iGemz website and cannot be used in any physical store.
(b) A Gift Card may not be used to purchase another Gift Card or Coupon.
(c) Where the purchase price exceeds the Gift Card balance, the shortfall must be paid using another accepted payment method.

1.3

No Cash Refunds
(a) Gift Cards cannot be exchanged for cash, earn interest, or be refunded once purchased, except where required by law.

1.4

Lost, Stolen, or Misused Gift Cards
(a) iGemz is not responsible for lost, stolen, damaged, or misused Gift Cards once delivered or made available to you.
(b) Stolen, lost or damaged Gift Cards will not be replaced.

2.

COUPONS (Discount Codes)

2.1

Types of Coupons
(a) Fixed-Value Coupons: provide a specific monetary discount (e.g. ZAR100, US$20 off).
(b) Percentage-Based Coupons: provide a percentage discount on the purchase price (e.g. 10% off).

2.2

Coupon Rules
(a) Coupons are issued at the sole discretion of iGemz and may be amended, corrected, or cancelled if issued or used in error, or where misuse is detected.
(b) Each Coupon is subject to the specific terms and conditions stated on or with it, including limitations on product categories, expiry dates, and usage.

2.3

General Conditions
Unless expressly stated otherwise:
(a) Each Coupon may be used only once.
(b) Only one Coupon may be used per order.
(c) Coupons must be applied at checkout and cannot be applied retroactively after an order has been placed.
(d) Coupons may apply to specific products, categories, or minimum order values – please refer to the details of the Coupon.

2.4

Percentage Coupons
(a) If part of an order is cancelled before payment, the order must be cancelled in full and re-submitted. A replacement Coupon of the same value may be issued.
(b) Percentage discounts are calculated on the basket total. Any balance remains payable by you.

2.5

Restrictions
(a) Coupons may not be used to purchase Gift Cards or other Coupons.
(b) Coupons are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash or credit, and cannot be reissued once expired.
(c) iGemz is not responsible for lost, stolen, or misused coupons.

2.6

Coupon Errors
(a) If a Coupon does not work at checkout, please contact Customer Service.
(b) If the Coupon is valid but your order has already been placed, you may:
• Cancel and re-order using the Coupon, or
• Apply the Coupon to your next purchase (provided it remains valid).

2.7

Proof of Entitlement
(a) iGemz may require proof of entitlement (such as the original email or message containing the Coupon code) before accepting a Coupon.

3.

RETURNS and CANCELLATIONS

3.1

Fixed-Value Coupons
(a) If you return or cancel an item purchased with a Fixed-Value Coupon:
• The discount portion will be deducted.
• A replacement Coupon of the same percentage value may be issued.
• Any remaining value may be refunded or credited, at iGemz’s discretion.

3.2

Percentage Coupons
(a) If you return or cancel an item purchased with a Percentage Coupon:
• The discount portion will be deducted.
• A replacement Coupon of the same percentage value may be issued.
• Any remaining value may be refunded or credited, at iGemz’s discretion.

3.3

Gift Cards
(a) If you return a product purchased using a Gift Card:
• The refunded portion will be re-credited as store credit only.
• Cash refunds are not available in respect of Gift Card payments.

4.

GENERAL PROVISIONS

4.1

Fraud & Misuse
iGemz reserves the right to reject, cancel or void Gift Cards or Coupons suspected of being obtained fraudulently or misused in any way.

4.2

Import Duties (International Clients)
International customers using Gift Cards or Coupons remain responsible for any import duties, taxes, or fees imposed by their respective countries. Such charges are not included in iGemz prices or delivery fees and are for the customer’s sole account.

4.3

Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall, at the election of iGemz, be subject to the jurisdiction of the Magistrates’ Court, Kempton Park, South Africa, notwithstanding the amount involved.
