Apatite Gemstones

The apatite gemstone is rare and unique, and have been revered since ancient times. The word “apatite” is derived from the Greek word meaning “deceptive”, and refers to the way in which these stones can resemble other more common gemstones. Apatite is most commonly found in green, blue, or yellow hues, but can also be found in a range of other colors. These stones are usually transparent, but can also be translucent or opaque. Apatites are found in many different parts of the world, but most notably in Brazil, Burma, and Madagascar.
